I like the look of the light colored clay! Almost a white color even. Your becoming something of a clay alchemist it seems with all that mixing and stuff. I suppose fired clay tablets seem almost inevitable at this point

Nice work dub-sar - even the size shape and color resemble the originals on these ones I like the grey of the first one. Also, t he clay art is really cool! The more it drys the better it looks, almost like a piece of clay stuck in the dirt of its original find spot hm. Should keep experimenting with these.

Nice vid man! I would throw it up on the class discussion board, as most of them have never seen a stylus in action - but do you know who the scholar is in the video? Maybe it would say on the original Agade email?

Thanks Enkur! I created another tablet yesterday. Had it stored in the fridge inside a plastic bag for several weeks which worked well. This time i used this source: cdli.ucla.edu/P232050Strange about this tablet was that 4 of the 5 DINGIR´s were written different than normal. Have to investigate this.

Nice work Sheshki I'm sure someone is wondering why you drew an arrow pointing to a piece of toast on their car... and missing the entire point! 0_0

The Clay is mighty! The following new tablet is a copy of this one: www.cdli.ucla.edu/P108961translation by N.Linder front"2 gur Bierbrot, (für den) König; Sache des Königs. En- {d}Nanshe backhat es eingezogen. Jahr: Shu-Su'en ist König." Mighty is the Clay!

Ahh - very nice! I like the look of the first tablet especially with the reddish clay, looks like its fine quality ;] And of course a response from the elusive and ethereal N.Linder makes this post a double oddity - nice of her to translate all the same So what about an English translation? Your 95% the way there to making this readable to most members! Must say the new tattoo looks interesting - I'm sure I see a Shesh-ki in there, and another ki later on, so I'm guessing it's either about the moon god, or that it's biographical (like your signature?) . Do you have enough non-tattooed space to fit that anywhere though ?

Hey Naomi, the triangles are a result of the stylus, which is just a chopstick with a squared end can we see a picture of the revolver? for the picture just have a look through my "more matti than is good for you" folder on FB and let me know which one in what size. The Clay is mighty!

...silly idea (looking at Sheshki's avatar): Why don't we choose a day as the Enenuru-/cuneiform-day and run around with our faces covered in cuneiform? I love painting cuneiform onto my face - although, of course, my shaky right paw doth not make signs as regular and pretty as that of our dubsar-gal...
...anyways, the next time I play around with cuneiform, I will take picture.

I have recently bumped into the resident Assyriologist, Beaulieu, and promised to start praticing my cuneiform for next semester when Akkadian is offered. So might almost be time for the return of cuneiform hand: It's a good way to keep track of the signs your learning

The EN2-E2-NU-RU Tattoo So in another page of the cuneiform diaries I am documenting the spread of ink in flesh inscription style - After Sheshki's considerable influence (and peer pressure) and also my own considerable fondness of the word, I have finally had my en2-e2-nu-ru tattoo done - I took these particular cuneiform samples from M. Geller's volume "Ur III Incantations from the Frau Professor Hilprecht Collection" . I liked the rough and gritty nature of the signs. The tattoo is on my thigh which is an odd place but I have a concept for a few more which would complete and overall design. Thanks to Sheshki for his eccentric example and persistence.

I collected some Clay today...and you know what that means , the kitchen is a mess again... The forest here is a riverside forest, and it is this because of the clay in the ground. So, forest clay this time...i hope it works for tablet making.

I still have some clay remained from the cave I visited in the autumn but I lack your kitchen to freely turn it into a mess

By the way, I use to write my cuneiform spells discreetly on previously evened by me clay surfaces in certain caves in the light of candles. The speleologists in the future may wonder...

The Clay is mighty! And he spoke to me: Dont let me dry on your kitchen table, inscibe me! Now! So i did. This time i found a Gudea inscription with Ningishzida on it...normally there is Ningirzu mentioned on his tablets. www.cdli.ucla.edu/P234557on the next two pictures u can see some personal names from facebook friends... that happens when there is time to kill and Clay left. The Clay is mighty!
