Sargon Father Laibum is a Sumerian name??? “ A Laibum név is sumer (la-IB2.UM, amiből az ibum valamilyen fémtárgyat jelent, a la viszont rendkívül sok jelentésű), ami viszont lehet annak következménye, hogy a sumer nyelvű Sarrukín-krónikában maradt fenn.” 大家好,又是我。水平有限,请原谅我使用中文。 All right, it's me again. The level is limited. Please forgive me for using Chinese. 匈牙利语WIKI上,居然写着Sargon的父亲:Laibum,这是个苏美语名字。是否要考量,Sargon本人是Sumerian出身,却使用了Akkad 名字? In Hungarian WIKI, the father of Sargon was written: Laibum, which is a Sumerian name. Whether Consideration, Sargon himself was born in Sumerian, but he used Akkad name?

With the "um" ending it sounds Akadian to me, but that is just a guess.

Hello Gurus:
There are two Sargon legends. 1: The Akkadian Sargon Legend. 2: The Sumerian Sargon Legend.
La'ibum only appears in the Sumerian version.
In the Akkadian version, the text says that Sargon does not know his father - his father is unknown.
In the Sumerian version, the texts says that his father is La'ibum.
La'ibum is an Akkadian name, its has three roots: L ' B like a Akkadian word, and the Akkadian case ending -um. See also the dissertation of Lewis 1980, "The Sargon Legend..." p. 122 n. 91.
I have a friend who is a Chinese student. I will send you an e-mail about her. You can ask her questions in Chinese.
