1. He strengthened their bonds,
2. Driving them into prison.
3. [ . . . ] drew nigh to the prison.
4. He opened the door of the prison, kissing them,
5. Rejoicing that he beheld all of them.
6. As soon as the captive gods beheld him,
7. As a redeemer of all of them,
8. They forgot their abode.
9. Nergal stood crying aloud over them,
10. Unto Enmešarra, the adorned, speaking the word,
11. Marduk has spoken thus:
12. "Oh lord, steady-one, thy children are these seven.
13. Once again mightily I will work their overthrow".
14. When Enmešarra heard this,
15. 'Woe' he said, and his mind became frenzied.
16. He opened his mouth and said this word:
17. "Too mighty is their condemnation, my word is spoken".
