In the wikipedia.org entry for Larsa it has Larak in parentheses as another name for Larsa. Is this true? The weird part is I checked the wiki entry for Pabilsag knowing that pabilsag is associated with being the patron Deity of Larak (where as Utu was the patron of Larsa not to say a city can't have two gods) and under the Pabilsag entry it states pabilsag is associated with "the lost ruins of Larak". This certainly wouldn't be the first time wikipedia was wrong about something but I'm just wondering were they got the basis for connecting the two city-sates as the same in the first place.

As far as I know, Larsa is not the same as Larak. The Reallexikon has seperate entries for both, and suggests that Larak is "velleicht unfern Isin", or "perhaps close to Isin". Meanwhile, everyone knows where Larsa is-- further south near Uruk, the modern Tell Senkereh.
So you are correct-- they are not the same.
