Sorta back on track, here. RL has been a headache on top of my headaches. (And sorry, no, I'm not going near the mushrooms. ;D ), my left eardrum is pulled back and causing a lot of pain, and no I don't know what happened to cause it, my home computer still isn't online, which is really wigging me out, and I don't have time here at work, usually, to do the thinking that this forum requires. And my library is at home, so it's hard to argue with all you nit-pickers. I'm surprised I could even get onto the site, considering that our firewall usually blocks me out.
I'm not amused but the gods will have their fun.
I'm depressed today because I'm surrounded by Celts who won't even talk to me, and I'm in need of a cuddle pile. Preferably with middle eastern drums in the background. Maybe hummus and shwarma on the table, and a nice slave-boy to feed me pieces of halva.
I cannot tell you how tired I am of hearing about the 8 Sabbats. As though they were the only holidays in the pagan world. Not that a lot of the Celts have even read descriptions of the original holiday celebrations.
I don't suppose anyone on this list is in Arizona??
There's this terrific middle eastern market just around the corner from work, and there's a restaurant inside. They have an oven where they make the bread, and it's in the open so you can watch the bread baking. The old man likes me, he smiles and his hospitality is so wonderful, I could almost move in. Almost. The culture is too patriarchal. I'm not a reconstructionist. My favorite dish there is this cheese thing called kanefa. Not sure of the spelling. It's a melty thing that's absolutely wonderful!
I hope everyone had a nice akitu.
