The first new moon after the spring equinox is the Sumerian New year according to the Nippurian calendar my temple uses. The date was roughly on the sixth depending on when you determine the day beginning (Midnight, sun down, or Sun up.)
I used this time to do some reorganization of my altar and to offer a stone of polished Lapis. Anyone else do anything?

This brings up an important question for me. I'm in the Southern Hemisphere, so my spring equinox isn't until September. Do I change dates to fit the season, or stick with the seasons as they would be in Iraq?
