"Why did you stink up your boyfriend’s wagon like a wild ox? "this was what was posted at the top of the page today. Is this some kind of joke? Perhaps someone should update it daily with some famous, funny Sumerian line.

But the Sumerians have passed on to us much great wisdom that we can apply to our daily lives.
For instance, we are enlightened to know something which has never occurred since time immemorial: a young woman did not fart in her husband's embrace.

Xuch: That particular humor point is explained in my last periodical I sent around a few days ago, Im afraid you changed your email at some point and its never been corrected on my mailing list. Appears Im only so efficient hm 0_0 As for this thread, we could add humor points here and I have taken the liberty of renaming it something more broad and general. And look, Madness and Ummia are bringing out the good stuff!

My personal favorite at the moment is: "In respect of both expenditures and capital goods, the anus is well supplied."

NICE! I've just come across the following somewhat less base witticism: Although the lamentation priest's grain boat was sinking, he would be walking on dry land. This appears to be opening irreverent to the Lamentation priest (like the proverb I have posted at the header on the board right now). I think what is implied is even if his boat is sinking, he is doing fine because he has all the more to lament about

I got some!
""As for me, Inanna, / Who will plow my vulva? / Who will plow my high field? / Who will plow my wet ground?"
"At the king's lap stood the rising cedar."
Sumer has some of the best erotic witticisms/poetry ever.
