Here i will present books i found at the library of the ANE department of the university of Leipzig
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I made it.
I went to that library. Me, who normally avoids to interact with other people. Well, first i want to thank Bill for his constant pushing (sometimes i have the feeling "Bill" means "he who is behind everyones back, pushing") and of course a big "danke schön!" to Rose, who opened the door to the local ANE world for me.
After a nice walk from Plagwitz to the inner city of Leipzig i found the library real quick ( thanks to Roses detailed description).
There i met Rose and after a short introduction i realized real quick that i was pretty much unprepared for a visit. To my vindication i have to say, i was at a library last time as a kid
It didnt took very long and i felt like in candyland. So many books, all somehow related to what i like so much. Wonderful!
Here you can see a small part of one of the four rooms there. Rose explained what was stored in this one, but i somehow managed to forget.
After a bit walking around, starring at all those treasures, .......
....... i thought "ok, lets search for something i could have use for"
And i first found "Ancient Near Eastern Cylinder Seals"
I will present my findings at the cylinder seals thread

Next book i was looking into was "the Nippur Lament" by S.Tinney
Then i found a russian book about Sumer:
Gosudarstwennoje chosjaistwo Drewnewo Schumera" by A.I.Tjumenew (at least i still can figure out the letters, but i dont know what it means in detail...had 5 years of russian at school.. )
There were many pictures from the royal tombs at Ur, and i found a nice picture of Puabis Headdress, which will be posted at fashion thread ( enenuru.proboards52.com/index.cgi?board=research&action=display&thread=122 )
Also nice was this one
Inanna
Next book was this one:
My findings there will also be posted at the fashion thread and at the Ningishzida thread as well. In that book i also found two pictures we already had at our erotica thread...see below:
Next one was another book about cylinderseals ( and i bet that library contains way more books about that topic ) , and again i will present the findings at the cylinderseal thread.

The last one for the day was a book about the city of Adab from China.
I took some pictures but i still have to read that.
So all in all it was a nice trip to the lib. And to speak with the words of the terminator..."ill be back!"
