I'm wondering if this is a dual reference to air/wind/spirit. Lil2 means spirit/air/wind, depending on the context, and so does the Latin spiritus. (Look at it this way.. When someone dies they run out of breath, they stop breathing. The "spirit" left the body. So what would their spirit be made of? Air, breath, or wind. Plus, like spirits, its unseen.) So I am curious if the smoke reference is connected to this as well. If it is, then this must be a semi-explanation of spirit manifestations.

At the very least the Lil2 demons were considered wind demons as well as spirits. (And storms spirits according to Patai.) I'm sure there is other spirit context that lil2 could embody.
There was a thread Us4 made that explains the multiple words for spirit, including lil2. But idk if I can find it, because the search button here is terrible and I don't recall the title. I'm thinking lil2 may be one type of spirit.

> ...they use the mind of the Operator, which is so in tune with their objective reality, to cross into the Operator's world. And when they do, they will use anything to clothe themselves so as to take a temporary form, since this stabilizes them in our universe. <
It might benefit you to read Jung's essays on alchemy, which is what occupied him in the later stages of his life. He insisted that the alchemists were projecting archetypal contents onto material items (gold or whatever) in the process of their work. Thus alchemical symbols are representations of psychological facts.

"Hows everyone doing, anyway? The plans for world domination etc. etc." Heya George Good to see you pop in there! Well, I'm doing alright, I'm one day away from the big move to Toronto. Will be going to a new city, new school, etc. so I'm spending alot of effort lately to get everything right. Having to say final good byes to my friends in this city, I agreed to go canoeing with them which is normally much more physical than I like to get. It's really a demanding bunch of toil once your out there in a big lake with speed boats nearly capsizing the canoe with every wave - and I got a sunburn which is the first and only one of the year which I'm irratated about. Touching dry land again I rededicated myself to physical inactivity hm. Yes a good library is the best way to go for some of the rarer books. I'm excited to browse The Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library in Toronto - can only imagine what they have there. www.library.utoronto.ca/fisher/
