Michael Shenkar: Intangible Spirits and Graven Images: The Iconography of Deities in the Pre-Islamic Iranian World
This is a piece I've become highly interested in, as it especially focuses on representations and sources concerning various Iranian deities of the Pre-islamic age. While a subject on the periphery of the main focus of this forum, Iranian religion as a whole is a topic that is almost completely neglected. I'd appreciate any and all help as it would help me uncover a subject I've otherwise only found mentioned in the briefest of notes online.

Pre islamic is a very broad term, Hukkana, it spans 4000+ years. Not sure where to start here. Maybe have a look into this website as a starter, ----->>> iranica online

To rephrase my question, I was asking if anyone would have any images/image reconstruction and or discussion from said work on hand, as representation of the divine is one of my chief interests.
