You know, all those topics that are so underrepresented that scattered mentions point you to maybe one thirty year old paper that's never been reprinted, or give you next to no results.
Now this might be just bad luck but I'm having similar results with trying to find any information on Qarahar/Karahar/Harahar. As far as I gathered it's not been located with any certainty, but I still could not find it indexed anywhere as a destination, except a brief refference here or there, (like being mentioned once in the Cambridge Ancient history along with several other examples in the same bracket) and certainly nothing that says anything about it. I couldn't even find the seal of it's king Zardamu, as in the actual seal, until I ran across it at the tail end of a document on Ur III Kings in Images.
What about you guys ?

Have you considered the possibility that you are using the wrong search words in google, because it took me five minutes to find it: Karaher is equated with Harhar in Assyrian historical texts and is situated in western Iran in the Diyala region near the modern town of Kermanshah. Yes I did. I found it spelled three different ways : P And it was just an example, still I only found scattered bits of information about it that doesn't correlate with each other (Routledge has no idea about Zardamu or a "Diš-Atal" found mentioned elsewhere for example) and the fact I was trying to think of some example off the top of my head.
