I don't have cuneiform font on Firefox, as there's a lot of these fonts around and I don't know which to pick.
And so I tried to find the name Marduk written out in cuneiform, either on google books, or written down in an image format. What seemed straightforward turned out to be....impossible with google search.
So I'm asking, could anyone provide me with the cuneiform writing of the principal deities, namely Marduk, Enlil, Enki, Anu, Adad and their consorts ?
If anyone would share Girra/Gibil and Nergal and Ereškigal I wouldn't mind either ; )

One possibility would be using the etcsl signlist. Press Ctrl+F for the search funktion and search for the names. link

Yes, I've found finding god names in cuneiform to be an vexing / frustrating process in the past. Somehow thousands of Assyriology publications have never provided a good number of divine names in cuneiform (to my knowledge) even sign lists (which don't treat proper names at all, divine or mortal). So why don't we proceed in this way: you could first attempt to get the writings from the link posted from Sheshki above. Sometimes this seems to work, for example I see nergal listed under PIRIG.UNUG.GAL ...Bear in mind that the sign is written in capitols to indicate a difficult reading - PIRIG has also the value ne3, UNUG also the value eri11 and gal (altogether: Nergal) . Bear in mind these names should be have the dingir preceeding them, not indicated on the ETCSL list. Any names you don't get on the ETCSL you could list again on this thread and we could do it figure them out.

Well, here you have Enki and Enlil, not sure right now about Gibil (tho i think it is the NE.SHESHIG), would have to look into it, but there is not enough time right now.

Speaking of Marduk, what about Nabu ? I found this summary of the spellings of various names with the element, is it safe to say the one used in "Nabopolassar" on the bottom right is good ? www.bible-history.com/imagesart/babylonia/nebuchadnezzar-cuneiform.jpgAlso I would probably ask for the most obscure ones, but that's a given. Any ideas on the writing of Muštešir-hablim, Umunmutamku and Umunmutamnag ?
