Good evening,
I was just wondering what kind of maps you are using to give yourself a better overview in the mesopotamian area. I'm currently looking for some higher resolution maps which contain the most important places for the specific era and maybe a newer one for comparison.
I find myself jumping through all kind of different and pixelated material to find specific locations and cities when I'm working on the subject and was hoping for something from the same mold.
Greeting, n4x

Hey n4x, Well here is one i just found that has lots of cities although no time frame is given, also i can´t judge if it is correct. Ancient history map A good source for maps might be books. If i find some i´ll post them here. Maybe this can be a nice pool for maps.

I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing you're looking for, but, I figure it doesn't hurt to throw it out there. Map of Mesopotamian CitiesThis map is my own attempt (using the coordinates from Wikipedia) to document all of the known cities associated with Mesopotamia in some way. Some of the cities have additional information attached to them: patron deities, archaeological insights, random facts I found interesting, etc. This is a pet-project of mine though, so there's no real consistency, and it's definitely incomplete at the moment. I usually only add to it when I have the time and motivation, so apologies in advance if I don't touch it again for a while! Maybe it's of interest to you?

Ha! I had no idea that CDLI had undertaken the same process that I am. That was fun to see! Thanks for providing the links, Bill.
